In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the sister state relationship between Oregon and Toyama, the "Oregon-Toyama Connection," a group created for people from Oregon and Toyama to meet each other and increase connections, is meeting regularly online via Zoom. Why don’t you join us?

Anyone interested in making connections between the people of Toyama and Oregon is welcome. The group meets once every month online and members are notified via email. Conversations will be in both Japanese and English. You don’t need to speak Japanese to participate.

This community online discussion group is just one OTC (Oregon-Toyama Connection) project. Another project will place Toyama travel posters in Oregon and Oregon travel posters in Toyama to increase awareness of our relationship and spur curiosity. All OTC projects aim at strengthening ties between the citizens of Toyama and Oregon.

オレゴン州と富山県の姉妹提携30周年を記念して、新たな出会いを求めて作られたグループの「Oregon-Toyama Connection」では、定期的にオンラインでの交流の場を持っています。ここでの出会いをきっかけに、実際に多くの人と知り合い、仲良くなり、一緒に何かプロジェクトなどが進められると楽しく交流できるのではないかと思っております。このグループにご興味のある方はこちらのフォーム（Google Form）にご記入いただくか、コミュニティグループにFacebookよりご参加ください。このコミュニティーグループは、現在月に1回のZoomでの集いを行っています。会話は英語と日本語になりますが、特に語学のレベルは問いませんのでお気軽に参加してください。

1つ目のプロジェクトとして、ポスタープロジェクトを始めました。オレゴン州のポスターを富山のあらゆる場所に貼り、富山のポスターをオレゴン州に貼ることでみなさんに交流関係の認識をもってもらう事が目的です。
